This piece is derived from self-help books. For several days I frequented my neighborhood bookstore and went to page 40 of every self-help book in the store. I collected a phrase, wrote it down, I later edited the phrases and had them engraved on to the brushes and containers. The title of the books are engraved on colour nametag material. Each colour is relevant to the colour of the book. Each object relates to self-care both physical and mental. I am interested in North America's obsession with therapy and how it relates to spirituality and consumption, literally and physically.
